Just needed to post this, it just dropped today at True and True East, and I’m kind of happy with it.

Nick Philips of Imaginary Foundation Art Show at Stussy SF

Last night (as the title of this entry suggests) Nick Philips, the creative force behind Imaginary Foundation’s clothing line, held a art show at Stussy SF. The turn out was good, the artwork even better. Sometimes these in store art shows can get old, but this was one of those shows that didn’t disappoint. He works with extremely high resolution digital images, the artwork hanging last night, besides the few sculptural pieces, were these images printed with incredible detail on canvas. I haven’t seen this technique used this well before. Very dope. The neighborhood represented and beer flowed freely, until we were forced to cross the street to Fred’s and fund our own intoxication. Anyways, some pictures:

These were a few of my favorite pieces…

I wish the pictures could do justice to the detail of the printing.

Farce of July Madness.

Last night Dolores Park was as close as I’ve seen to pure chaos in San Francisco, save maybe a Castro Halloween. Not that I had a bad time. I didn’t get hit in the head with skateboards, I didn’t get hit with bottle rockets, I didn’t get hurt. Some how amid these distractions, I seemed to really enjoy the afternoon. Lot’s of folks, crews nearly 50 to 100 deep setting up camps. Well, not camps, more like boxes, bags and coolers filled with some food and a lot of alcohol. Regardless, it was a beautiful day, at least until dark, then it became a war zone and a few people got hurt. My condolences to the injured, I hope they find the bastard who was responsible.
Here are some pics of some of the family out there yesterday.

Anyone else find this crazy?

OK, maybe not crazy, it just trips me out. With the new bridge well underway and this many new structures reshaping the near futures skyline, I wonder what’s next. Painting the Golden Gate a new color? Why the hell not.

Hit shelves 2…

So it had been a minute since I posted anything, but it’s been a minute since we dropped anything new. These are the three new designs that came out at True and True East this weekend. A little tribute to the early nineties, and I guess the 1950’s? I don’t know where the inspiration for “They Never Sleep” actually came from, possibly a lack of sleep… It’s 2007 though, who sleeps? Not us.shelf1.jpg
